Dining

Here at The Kingsmills, we are very proud of our heritage and have been offering an array of Scottish culinary delights for decades. We are thrilled to work with some of the top chefs in Inverness to offer a luxurious yet unpretentious fine dining experience. With a cornucopia of fresh produce available in the local area, our sensational dishes speak for themselves.

Our Hotel restaurants

We have two restaurants at the hotel, both with a unique atmosphere and personality of their own. Overlooking the gardens the bright and airy Conservatory restaurant is the ideal location for a remarkable dining experience. Indulge in a refined menu that celebrates our harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary flavours, before stepping out onto the terrace to enjoy a cocktail as the sun slowly sets.

The cosy Inglis restaurant oozes intimacy, warmth and affection. It is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or an evening celebration with a group of friends as the daily fixed menu brings together the best of Scottish and international cuisine.

We are proud to support local producers and feature fresh, locally sourced ingredients in all of our dishes. Our menu presents an extensive selection of contemporary dishes, as well as some firm favourites.

Melt in your mouth

Treat yourself to seasonal venison dishes, locally sourced mussels cooked in white wine, aged Highland beef or freshwater salmon from the surging streams of nearby Speyside. Devour one of our rich chocolate desserts and then complete your meal by sipping a liquor coffee. You’ll want to savour every mouthful with menus as well-crafted as ours.

Take a look at our sample menus to discover what awaits you when dining at The Kingsmills.

Enjoy Our Family-Friendly Atmosphere

We welcome children at both of our restaurants and offer a special menu that will not only delight your little ones, but also expose them to a variety of different foods that will develop their palates. Children can enjoy half portions of the majority of our main courses, so even the most sophisticated mini food connoisseurs will be happy eating here.

The Finest Wines & Whiskies

Each of our exquisite wines has been individually selected by our independent Master of Wines to provide excellent flavour combinations for all our dishes. Guests can also appreciate a dram or two of our range of superb Scottish malt whiskies as a pre or post-dinner treat.

We also serve a range of Scottish ales, cocktails, after-dinner liqueurs and spirits. If alcohol isn’t your thing, or you are the designated driver, you can enjoy a wide choice of non-alcoholic cocktails or artisan teas, coffees and fresh fruit juices.
