So what is included in these special few days…
Thursday 29th December…
This day is about relaxing and unwinding at your own leisure. We will welcome you from 2pm and the day is yours to settle in and relax until the evening fun begins. The party starts with a cocktail reception followed by a 3 course dinner prepared by our chef Geoff and his brigade.
Friday 30th December…
Wake up the next day to a hearty Scottish breakfast to set you up for a day of exploration in and around Inverness After a buffet lunch we will take to the magical Loch Ness where we can’t guarantee Nessie, but can certainly guarantee stunning scenery and legends. In the evening you will enjoy a fabulous 4 course dinner and entertainment by the ‘Jersey Tones’.
Saturday 31st December…
New Years Eve kicks off with another superb breakfast followed by a spectacular display of Birds of Prey. Afterwards you will enjoy some lunch before heading to the theatre to see Dick Whittington. Back at the hotel you can enjoy afternoon tea in preparation for the evenings festivities. Then the party begins with a truly gastronomic Gala Dinner of 5 courses! Following this ‘Pneumatic Drill’ will lead an action packed ceilidh until the chiming of the bells at midnight. Our very own lone piper will mark the coming of 2017, while you toast to the new year with a glass of bubbly. You will then be topped up after all this action with some haggis, neeps and tatties and of course … a wee dram ready to continue to celebrations into the ‘wee sma hours’!
Sunday 1st January
Finally after an action packed few days, day 4 starts with breakfast from 9am – 11.30am to allow you some extra hours in bed to recover if you wish. Brunch style dishes will be served from 11.30 – 2pm and it doesn’t end there! We have some exotic animals making an appearance for you to get up and close to should you choose do so, followed by a history lesson. Here you will learn about Scottish Clans and you will also experience your very own ‘Braveheart Moment’. Following this there will be a fun, family quiz to challenge your brains. There will be a Grand Buffet in the evening, with our very own hilarious pantomime performance written by team Kingsmills. Finally there will be a Prize Giving ceremony to award the days competition winners, rounded off by a toe tapping performance by Sandy Brechin and Brian O’Hara
Monday 2nd January
Tis the last day of your action packed and fun filled stay and it starts once again with a hearty Scottish breakfast. We are sure that you will leave us and the Highlands on a high with many new memories to start the new year.
A guide New Year to ane an’a’ – This is the traditional Scottish toast at Hogmanay meaning “A good New Year to one and all”, and it will certainly be that this year at Kingsmills Hotel.
