Burns Room

“But to see her was to love her” – Robert Burns, Ae Fond Kiss

Hold your wedding in our elegant Burns Room and share in over two hundred years of Scottish history. The Burns Room is named after famous Scottish Bard Robert Burns, who was once a distinguished guest in the old 18th Century mansion which now forms the heart of our Kingsmills Hotel.

This is a tasteful wedding venue with plenty of natural light, original 18th-century ceiling and many other period features. To celebrate this room’s namesake, we have added a contemporary twist with wallpaper from the famous Scottish textile designers Timorous Beasties.

The Burns Room is a very popular wedding venue for parties of up to 100 guests. The combination of grand features and abundance of natural light make it the perfect setting for a thoroughly elegant day. Our chefs will be lovingly hand preparing each element of your wedding meal, as the speeches take place with not a dry eye in the house. The layout of this room provides a real sense of togetherness and ensures everyone feels a big part of the celebrations.
