Inverness Music Festival

6th – 9th & 13th – 16th March 2025

A great way to kick off spring in Inverness! This local music competition is open to all ages and abilities. It’s a wonderful event for all music lovers, whether you’re performing or watching and listening in the audience. One of Inverness Music Festival’s main aims is to provide an opportunity for amateur musicians to perform before an audience. So, come along and show your support!

Inverness Half Marathon and 5K

9th March 2025

The Half Marathon and 5K is a wonderful event for runners of all levels and abilities. Training for a 5K run is the perfect way to get fit, now that the colder weather is coming to an end. Or, if you’re a seasoned runner looking for the next challenge, how about a half marathon? Sign up today and find that extra motivation to get fit this spring!

Etape Loch Ness

27th April 2025

This spring, thousands of cyclists will hit the road from Inverness to Fort Augustus and back again in the annual Etape Loch Ness. This 66-mile pedal around Loch Ness takes in some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Scotland, not to mention a few monster hills. The Etape Loch Ness is a much-loved and eagerly anticipated event for cyclists and spectators alike.

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

30th April – 5th May 2025

Seeking a taste of the Highlands? Head on over to the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Festival events take place throughout Speyside, in the Moray area near Inverness. Founded in 1999, it’s a celebration of all things whisky. With plenty of whisky-tasting on the cards, it would be a shame not to take advantage of this fantastic event – after all, it is educational too!

The Gathering 2025

24th May 2025

The Gathering celebrates the best of Highland music, culture, food and drink. Featuring performances by renowned Scottish acts such as Skippinish, Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Torridon. The festival also showcases local crafts and cuisine. Traditionally held at the Northern Meeting Park, the Gathering fosters a family-friendly atmosphere, uniting attendees of all ages in a vibrant festival.

Spring programme 2025

There are lots of fantastic shows coming to Eden Court Theatre in Inverness this spring. With music from the Inverness Fiddlers, Military Wives Choir, Capercaillie and more. Dancing with Eun-Me Ahn Dance Company and the Scottish Dance Theatre. Comedy from Larry Dean, Jason Manford and Jack Dee. Dramas such as Intruder, Myra’s Story and Through the Shortbread Tin.
