Host Sarah Rankin will introduce producers and their stories

Sarah celebrates Scotland’s Larder and its artisan producers. Both in her food writing, radio broadcasting, chef demonstrations, private dining, supper clubs and food festival appearances. She loves to promote local suppliers, sustainable food practices and Scottish produce.

Her first cookbook, ‘Kith’ which celebrates Scottish flavours, local producers and the joy of cooking for those you love, is out now.

The menu concept

Our menu from Kingsmills Executive Chef Geoff Malmedy is in partnership with outstanding local partners from across the region. The result is a glorious showcase of our exceptional food and drink heritage incorporating contributions from small scale producers of artisanal bread, fresh microgreens and herbs, premium seafood, high-quality hyper-local meats and craft beverages.

Origin Map for Taste of Inverness

Highlights include Loch Ness Gin-cured Seastocks Hebridean salmon with microgreens from Inverness Botanic Gardens, Strathspey venison Wellington from Simpsons Game with a rich Highland roast coffee jus, and a decadent Tomatin whisky crème brûlée. Paired with artisanal bread from XOKO, craft beverages from Dog Falls Brewery and Inverness Coffee Roastery, and hyper-local meats and seafood, this menu showcases the very best of our region’s larder. And, our vegan menu includes a stunning selection of local ingredients including Left Coast Culture cheeses and Inverness Gin-infused cucumber terrine.
