Rogie Falls

Just half an hour from Inverness is Rogie Falls. This accessible waterfall can be viewed from a suspension bridge and is worth seeing at any time of year. However, during August and September you may be treated to a salmon jumping show as they leap upstream to spawn. It’s not far to the waterfall from the car park, making this great for the whole family to enjoy together. 

Falls of Foyers

On the eastern shore of Loch Ness you can find the Falls of Foyers. Around 40 minutes from Inverness, these famous waterfalls have inspired artists for hundreds of years, including Robert Burns. The waters here cascade down into a large area like an amphitheatre, making them a beautiful sight, especially after some heavy rains. Also, it is just a short walk to the falls from the car park so great for people of all abilities.

Divach Falls

The Divach (pronounced ‘jeevach’) Falls is a 100 foot waterfall near Drumnadrochit. This tranquil area is often overlooked, making it the perfect escape from city life for a few hours. So take a book, something to eat and enjoy some relaxing time near the crashing waters and beautiful woodland of Divach Falls

Plodda Falls

Take a walk through a scenic pine forest and enjoy the spectacular Plodda Falls. Situated around an hour away from Inverness near Tomich, the falls are to be found at the end of a walk through the forest planted by Laird Fraser in the late 1800s. If you get to the viewing platform then you will be able to take in the majesty of these waterfalls from a height as they plunge over 150 feet to the bottom. 

Dog Falls

The Dog Falls are close to Plodda Falls, and are absolutely worth a visit too. Situated in Glen Affric, the Dog Falls are a great mix of dramatic cascading water and calm, peaceful forestry. They make for a great place to visit for a picnic. Numerous trails nearby allow you to enjoy this part of the countryside at your own leisure.
