Our hotel was originally built in 1785, and used as a grand house. It was here in 1787 that Robert Burns, Scotland’s best-loved poet, came to stay. The building is embedded in Inverness’ history and landscape. When the building was converted into a hotel in 1946, thousands of guests have stayed in our rooms, each warmly welcomed to our welcoming Highland hotel.
